Overview

 

You will be responsible for maintaining the foreign trade-related information of our business units in Switzerland and various SKAN plants. You will act as process owner and expert in the area of free trade agreements and rules of origin on a global level and support various business units. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Obtaining and monitoring export licences from SECO
  • Advising and supporting the business divisions and subsidiaries on export control and foreign trade law issues
  • Calculating preferences in accordance with the rules of origin of various free trade agreements
  • Carrying out foreign trade clarifications with regard to supply structures and international transactions
  • Supporting team members in Trade Compliance in the areas of tariff classification, origin and preference management, master data maintenance and other topics
  • Carrying out regular employee training on export controls
  • Carrying out sanctions list and embargo checks and classifying goods under export control law
  • Support with ESG compliance (environmental, social, governance) and CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) requirements in the supply chain and their integration into foreign trade
  • Creation of reports as well as evaluation and analysis of KPIs to optimise processes in the area of export control and foreign trade

 

 

Hardskills

 

  • Completed commercial training with further training as a foreign trade specialist
  • Several years of professional experience and sound expertise in export control and foreign trade
  • Ideally experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong communication skills and a confident manner in German and English
  • Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel, and knowledge of SAP an advantage
