Overview
The Sales Engineering Team currently includes 16 team members and mainly checks and processes customer enquiries for complex insulator projects, thereby covering the tasks of the internal sales team. In the role of Sales Engineer, you will make technical and commercial enquiries with different specialist departments and use configurators to prepare quotations for the sales team working in the field. Your technical expertise in the field of mechanical engineering, process or pharmaceutical engineering or automation is very important for this role and you will therefore ideally have professional experience in the back office of a technically orientated sales department. You can also expand and deepen your existing technical knowledge with us. The open, international and collegial team has a great team spirit and looks forward to your support and will routinely help you with your induction.
Responsibilities
- Review and comment on customer requests (User Requirement Specifications)
- Create calculations and quotations in close cooperation with internal departments
- Project planning and design of insulator projects for our customers around the world
- Participate in meetings with the customer to clarify requests to support the front office
- Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of products in our product configurator
- Update sales documents and tools
Hardskills
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, process or pharmaceutical engineering or automation
- Professional experience in a technical sales department is ideal
- A very good command of English is mandatory, ideally you also have a very good command of German
