Internship FEM-Analysis
Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology.
Responsibilities

Development and maintenance of hyperelastic FEM models with the aim of understanding and documenting a process operation in greater depth / comparison with existing test data.

Development of optimized geometries that are in contact with elastomer components

Automation of existing models with regard to certain process parameters

Evaluate required test data at a suitable laboratory station
You can also do this internship as a bachelor thesis.
Hardskills
- Enrolled student in mechanical engineering or a related field with a focus on FEM modeling
- Preferred prior knowledge in modeling 3D models (SolidWorks is used internally)
- Initial experience with ANSYS Mechanical / basic knowledge of FEM analysis
- Knowledge in the field of materials science
Softskills
- Analytical skills and the ability to recognize complex relationships
- Be able to speak & write German or English (language level B2 or C1 for foreign languages)
- Used to working with Excel calculations
- Basic knowledge of statistics
