Overview
In this role as a Field Engineer (international service technician) at SKAN, you will be part of a great team with a strong sense of camaraderie that handles the maintenance, qualification, and calibration of our systems in the field. The range of systems spans from older models to state-of-the-art filling lines. Both the training provided by our SKAN Academy and your several years of professional experience as a Field Engineer will help you quickly find your footing in our environment.
With a high degree of travel within Europe, you can expect exciting challenges, new cultures, and the opportunity to apply your expertise on an international scale. Assignments are on a weekly basis (Mon–Fri) and sometimes span two to three weeks.
Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance on our systems
- Qualification, re-qualification, and inspection of SKAN systems and products in the pharmaceutical sector
- GMP-compliant documentation of test reports
- Calibration and adjustment of sensors
- Filter integrity testing and ventilation qualification
- Replacement and repair of components as well as troubleshooting and repair services for isolators
Hardskills
- Basic technical training and/or a higher technical degree (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, polymechanics, or similar)
- Several years of experience in an international service engineering environment are highly advantageous
- Experience in a GMP environment or in the field of isolator technology is highly desirable but not required
- Very good English skills are required; knowledge of German is an advantage
- Due to travel requirements, residence in the Basel/Allschwil area or a willingness to relocate there is recommended
