Field Engineer - based in Dublin, Ireland

Overview

 

The role emphasizes independence and personal responsibility in maintaining, qualifying, and calibrating SKAN systems at customer sites. You will work on a broad range of equipment, from legacy systems to state-of-the-art filling lines, while being supported by our experienced team in Allschwil. Both the training provided by our SKAN Academy and your several years of professional experience as a Field Service Engineer will help you quickly become familiar with our systems and processes. 
The role involves regular travel to customer sites across Ireland and occasional travel within Europe and to Switzerland. You can expect exciting challenges, new cultures, and the opportunity to apply your expertise on an international scale. 
 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Performing maintenance on our systems
  • Qualification, re-qualification, and inspection of SKAN systems and products in the pharmaceutical sector
  • GMP-compliant documentation of test reports
  • Calibration and adjustment of sensors
  • Filter integrity testing and ventilation qualification
  • Replacement and repair of components as well as troubleshooting and repair services for isolators

 

 

Hardskills

 

  • Basic technical training and/or a higher technical degree (mechanical engineering, mechatronics, polymechanics, or similar)
  • Several years of experience in an international service engineering environment are highly advantageous
  • Experience in a GMP environment is a must, experience in the field of isolator technology is highly desirable but not required
  • Very good English skills are required
  • Due to travel requirements, residence in the Dublin area is necessary
