Export Specialist

Founded in 1968 as a trading company for Scandinavian laboratory equipment, SKAN is now global market leader in the specialist area of isolator construction for aseptic applications. One of our core competencies is the manufacture of process isolators for pharmaceutical-aseptic production. Even the most complex customer requirements can be fulfilled thanks to the experts at our in-house laboratories who research innovative solutions for isolator technology. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Handling international shipments, especially of spare parts
  • Organisation of air, sea and road transport incl. courier traffic
  • Preparation of shipping documents and customs documents for international shipments
  • Transport monitoring of current shipments and status clarifications with shipping companies
  • Co-operation with internal contacts 
  • Contact and coordination with customers and freight forwarders
  • General administrative work such as checking freight invoices
  • Processing letters of credit
  • Support with the standardisation of processes

 

 

 

 

Hardskills

 

  • Basic commercial training with forwarding experience
  • Experience in an industrial environment in the export sector is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Excel as well as good user knowledge of the MS Office package and ERP experience (preferably SAP / AEB)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English

  • High understanding of service and customer orientation
  • Independent and open personality with high social competence, good communication skills and ‘hands-on mentality’
